He has a special interest in complex reconstructive and revision surgery, and is actively involved in the development of new surgical techniques and new joint replacement technologies, and advocating for specialist staff in the public hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Ross graduated from The University of Queensland with MBBS in 1987. He completed his FRACS in Orthopaedic Surgery in 1996 and undertook a fellowship in Hand and Upper Limb Surgery at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in 1997, before travelling to the USA to undertake a 12-month Fellowship at the Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville, Kentucky. He has also been the recipient of coveted Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia and Australian Hand Surgery Society international travelling fellowships.<\/p>\n<p>He is currently the President of the Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia and the President-Elect of the Australian Hand Surgery Society.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-one-half fusion-layout-column fusion-column-last fusion-spacing-yes\" style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:20px;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper\"><p>He is currently in private practice at the Brisbane Private Hospital as part of the Brisbane Hand &amp; Upper Limb Clinic. He operates privately at the Brisbane Private Hospital.
